Complete a cloverleaf pattern around preset barrels and cross the finish line. The pattern can start from either the right or left hand barrel. Tipped barrels result in a 5 second penalty for each tip.
Wait in the box until calf leaves the chute. Once the barrier is released, horse and rider race out of the box while the rider throws a lasso around the neck of the calf. Once the rope is around the calf’s neck, the rider will bring the horse to a stop. The rope is tied to the saddle horn with a string, which will break once the rope tightens, signifying the end of the run. No dally is required. Two loops will be allowed. A ten second penalty will be assessed if the rider breaks the barrier rope at the chute.
Race to the far end of the arena to a goat that is staked on a 10-foot rope. Cowgirl dismounts horse, catches the goat, throws it to the ground and ties three of its legs together. All three of the goat’s legs must stay tied together for six (6) seconds; otherwise a 10 second penalty is assessed.

Contestants are to pass the starting line, jump over a pole, complete a double figure eight around three barrels, return and jump pole again, and cross the finish line.
Race across the arena and around a barrel at the far end. As horse and rider are circling the barrel, rider places a flag she is carrying into a bucket sitting on top of the barrel. She then grabs a different color flag that is already in the bucket (trading flags) and races back across the arena with the flag. Knocking over a bucket or barrel, or failure to successfully trade flags and carry across finish line = no time (DQ).
Horse and rider run down the arena, weave between six poles, turn and weave through the poles again, and turn to race back to the starting line. A tipped pole results in a 5 second penalty for each tip.
Weave through four poles, clear both jumps, weave barrels (making full circle around 2nd barrel), and then go back over the jumps. Knocking down a pole, knocking jump off brace, knocking barrel over is a five second penalty for each. Breaking of pattern = no time (DQ).
